Continuous Structural Frame/Shell Reinforcing
REDUCES COLLISION, WIND, & SEISMIC DAMAGES WITH:
STRUCTURAL STEEL STRAP-NETS & EXTENSIONS

DESCRIPTION:
Structural Steel Strap-Nets & Extensions are an original working continuous structural frame assemblage reinforcing method that adds structural frame loads dispersals and dissipation to each side of a rigid structural frame assemblage. Structural Steel Strap-Nets & Extensions provide lateral and uplift protections to buildings, vehicles, and containers of all shapes and sizes.
STRUCTURAL STEEL STRAP-NETS & EXTENSIONS:
A structural performance based method of externally reinforcing entire open and solid framed buildings, structures, vehicles, and containers, that provides multiplelayers of continuous added structural frame assemblagemovement, deformation, and separation reductions and resistance.
Increases the strength of the reinforced structural frame assemblage and prevents or adds time between an applied external frame force impactand a total structural frame assemblage compromise/collapse.
Reduces structural frame design, design review, and structural framereinforcing installation, inspection hardships (as compared to internal and isolated structural frame assemblage location reinforcing methods).
Enhances geometric, architectural, mechanical, and structural assemblage design and assemblypossibilities.
Expands the 3rd Laws of Physics of assembled 3-dimensional open-interior structural frames/shells.
BASIC STRUCTURAL STRAP-NET COMPONENTS:
RING-CORDS: The continuous assembled steel strapping cords along the top and bottom of a continuous frame assemblage.
LINK-CORDS: The continuous assembled diagonal and vertical steel strapping cords along theframe assemblagewalls.
CLAW-CONNECTORS: The strapping end-connections and frame-anchor bracketsalong the Ring-Cords at the walls and corners.
STRUCTURAL STRAP-NET: The entire installed continuous assemblage of Ring-Cords, Link-Cords,Claw-Connectors and fasteners to a primary structural frame assemblage.
STRUCTURAL STRAP-NET & EXTENSIONS: When the Ring and/or the Link Cords are extended beyond the basic Strap-Netted structural assemblage body, in order to anchor/tie the Strap-Netted frame assemblageto adjacent structural assemblages.
FRAME ANCHORS: Any type of fastener that connects any component of the Structural Strap-Net and Extensions permanently to a primary or secondary rigid frame assemblage.
HOW AN INSTALLEDSTRUCTURAL STEELSTRAP-NET PERFORMS:

Claw-Connectors: Resist 2 and3-point structural frame location deformations, separations, and transfers structural frame and Strap-Netloads to multiple Strap-Net Ring/Link Cords.
Ring and Link Cords: Transfers structural Strap-Net loadsto multiple Strap-Net Ring/Link Cords, dissipates structural Strap-Net loads, and tension-resists structural frame assemblage deformations, separations.
Structural Strap-Net Extensions: Resist attached frame deformations, separations, and transfers attached structural frame loads to multiple Ring/Link Cords.
Fasteners: Resist Claw-Connector and Strap-Net Extension Cord deformation, separation, and withdrawel from the structural frame and/or attached structural frame.
Structural Strap-Net: Resistsstructural frame connection, panel, and shell deformation, separations, transfers structural frame loads to Strap-Net Ring & Link Cords, dissipates absorbed structural loads, and post-tensions for additional resistance of structural frame assemblage deformation, separations.
*Note: Structural Loads transferring through Strap-Net Ring & Link Cords will not transfer back into the structural frame assemblage.
STRUCTURAL FRAME/ASSEMBLAGE RECEIVES 5 STRUCTURAL PERFORMANCES;
Moment Compression Resistance at each 3-point corner.
MomentTension Resistance at eachwalltop and along each wall side.
Loads Transfers & Dispersals at each3-point corner.
Loads Dissipation at each side of the structural assemblage in any direction.
Post-Tension Resistance at each side.
IN 3 PHASES OF STRUCTURAL PERFORMANCE:
- Initial Force Impact (Moment) Resistance
- Damping
- Post-Tensioning
Excerpt from President Barrack Obama's 2011 National Building Safety Month Proclamation (Paragraph 3):
"It is our collective responsibility as a Nation...to implement effective standards and codes that sustain safe and resilient structures. We need innovation and partnerships at all levels of society to develop transformative breakthroughs in building materials and construction techniques that strengthen the integrity of our homes, workplaces, and commercial facilities."
INNOVATION-1; CLAW-CONNECTORS!

Develop permanent, positive Strap-Net Ring & Link Cord connections to assembled structural frame assemblages.
Adaptable to any structural frame assemblage geometric shape.
Safely transfer structural frame loadsto Structural Strap-NetRing & Link Cords.
Prevent Ring & Link Cord structural loads to transfer tothe structural frame assemblage.
Continuously ties foundations, roofs, and additional attached adjacent structural assemblages to the primary Strap-Nettedstructural frame assemblage.
INNOVATION-2; INSTALLED FLEXURE OF RIGID STRUCTURAL STEEL STRAPPING REINFORCING!!

- All steel components in Structural Steel Strap-Nets & Extensions have/will have minimum ICC-ES & ASTM-A36accreditation, andhave aminimum 20,000psi Yield strength structural grade, and should be corrosion resistant.
- Structural Steel Strap-Nets structurally perform in F1, F2, and F3 (X, Y, & Z)per Claw-Connection, per structural frame panel, and per the entire structural frame assemblage/shell.
- In post-tensioning, an installed Structural Steel Strap-Net resists inall directions of structural frame panel and shell movement, deformation, and separations/collapsing.
- With an installed Structural Steel Strap-Net (as located), the structural frame assemblage resists leaning, racking, warping, twisting, imploding, and exploding deformations from applied external wind, seismic, and/or collision forces.
- Meets and/or expands Action-Reaction, Momentum Conservation & Equilibrium Laws of Physics(Linear/1-dimensional to Spherical/3-dimensional).
DUAL-ANCHORING ADDS MORE PROTECTION FOR BUILDINGS & STRUCTURES:
- Structural Steel Strap-Nets & Extensionscontinuous frame reinforcingprovides more structural performance and protection to the totalbuilding/structure than fastener and laborintense wind/seismic strap-ties and strap hold-down anchors.
- Note how the Structural Strap-Net's Link Cords can be extended into the foundation, whereas the frame structural wall coverings cannot.
- Note how the Structural Strap-Net's upper Ring Cord can be extended to and fasten the cross-framing continuously to the wall, whereas the frame structural wall coverings cannot.
- The total frame assemblage is continually tied from roof to foundation footing rebar in Post-Tensioning by the Structural Steel Strap-Net & Extensions, which arerandomly tied and Moment Reinforced by the frame fasteners and anchor bolts.
- The Continuously Reinforced building or structure can withstandstronger force impacts and survive longer in extreme impact and durational applied forceconditions.

New and better ways to insulate and protect walls and building interiors:

- Exterior andinterior frame coverings over a fully reinforced Structural Steel Strap-Netted building or structure frame can be of structuralor non-structural materials.
- This is where the biggestbuilding materials, structural reinforcing, labor, economic, hazards protections, and architectural changes can occur with this new structural frame reinforcing innovation.
- Continuous and solid fire, water, temperature, chemical, etc; barriers and underlayments can be safely installed or applied to the walls and seams of the building or structure for improved interior protection.
- Lighter weight frame covering materials with fewer fastening locations can be installed for safer construction practices and economic savings.
- A new branch of Architecture can develop with continuously reinforced building and structure frames.
Extreme forces performance:

In isolated extreme force impact events which compromise sections of the structural frame, the Structural Steel Strap-Net can maintain the frame's integrity.
When a segment of the Structural Steel Strap-Net is compromised, the next nearest Claw-Connectors will continue to anchor the remainingassemblage of therigid frame, reducing and preventing progressive collapsing or failures.
As all earthquake, wind, flood, and collision force impacts are non-symmetrical toa 3-dimensional building or structure, an installed Structural Steel Strap-Net & Extension System will increase the safety and surviveability of buildings and structures that install them.
Safer, longer lasting buildings and structures lead to extra time for evacuations andrescues of occupants, better protection of stored contents, and many more savings.
Economically, safer buildings and structures that can survive better in quakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, and even floods and wildfires will reduce losses in business, jobs, property replacement, insurance, rebuilding, and many additional financial savings.

Applied Physics; Momentum Conservation & Equilibrium:
"A body at rest tends to stay at rest, a body in motion tends to stay in motion."
- Isaac Newton

Continuous Frame Reinforcing is based on Isaac Newton's 3rd Law of Physics; the "Action-Reaction Law".
Since a rigid frame assemblage is assembled with Compression Resistant materials and as a Compression Resisting 3-dimensional open-interior object, to achieve Momentum Conservation, the installed continuous Structural Strap-Net has to perform as a Tension Resisting object/device.
In order for the Ring and Link Cords to work independently of the rigidframe assemblage and perform in Post-Tensioning, they cannot be installed taut, or in tension between the Claw-Connectors/Frame Anchors.
The Ring and Link Cords also cannot be installedoverly loose, in both materials and installation, in order to prevent Post-Tensioning performance compromises.
The performances of appled force energies (Structural Loads) Dispersals and Dissipations by the Ring and Link Cords before and during Post-Tensioning is what has been discovered with using flat-bodied, external frame, interior frame assemblage installed Structural Grade Steel Strapping as the Continuous Frame Reinforcing Mechanisms.
